Adila Aghayeva, a volunteer of the Education HUB, recently finished her 9-month volunteering project in Zagreb, Croatia, through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). After completing her master’s degree in film criticism, she wanted to learn more, meet new people, and improve herself. That’s why she joined the ESC program.
During the project, Adila wrote articles about Roma people and other ethnic groups. She also helped organize workshops in schools and worked together with her international team on different social activities. Through this work, she learned more about history, journalism, and teamwork.
She met people from many countries and different cultures, which helped her become more open-minded and confident. The project also gave her the chance to travel, she visited 7 countries and more than 20 cities across Europe.
Adila believes the ESC is a great opportunity for every young person who wants to grow, learn, and make a positive change. She recommends it to all young people who are ready to try something new and meaningful.
